Echo Park offers a close proximity to downtown, bordered on the South, and to the North, is the incredibly popular area of Silver Lake. The culture of these two neighborhoods has fused making Echo Park’s residents a perfect blend of young professionals and creatives. Echo Park is right off the 101 and the 110, with easy access to I5. so no matter where you work in town, you can get there quickly. Echo Park is also a walkable and bikeable area with streets lined with great restaurants, small boutiques, art galleries, and hipster bars.

Echo Park is as hip as Silver Lake, but definitely more low key. No matter what you are into, there’s something for you to do in Echo Park. Here are just some of our favorite neighborhood offerings:
 
  • Dodger Stadium: The third oldest baseball stadium in the country, Dodger Park is home to the MLB team the Dodgers. If you’re a baseball fan, there’s no better place to live than Echo Park. Make sure while you are there to try a Doyer Dog.
  • The Echo & EchoPlex: Known across the world for hosting some of the newest indie act, the Echo and Echoplex is a dream venue for music lovers. There’s always new talent to check out between the two venues and a great back patio for when you need to take a break and meet fellow music lovers.
  • Machine Project: Machine project is probably Los Angeles’ most eclectic art gallery. With a variety of truly unique events and exhibits from a gourmet ham bar to a re-created shipwreck, the attendees are often as creative as the installations.
  • Echo Park Lake: If you are a fan of the outdoors, Echo Park Lake is a perfect retreat right in the city. With gorgeous water lily-filled fountains and the downtown backdrop, it’s the perfect place to spend some time in nature.
  • Bootleg HiFi: Bootleg HiFi is a converted warehouse that houses some of the most interesting acts in Los Angeles. The talent ranges from theater and plays to art exhibits to music acts. No matter your creative interest, there’s always something cool to check out at Bootleg HiFi.
Echo Park’s Unique Enclaves
 
Echo Park is a diverse community with multiple unique enclaves that have their own identity, architecture, and features. Angelino Heights, located high in the hills is known for its stunning Victorian architecture. Victor Heights also offers stunning Victorian architecture but is a mix of different styles and cultural influences. Elysian Heights has filled with architecturally notable homes from the mid-century that feature works from such famous architects as Rudolph Schindler, Harwell Hamilton, and Paul Landacre. The area is famed for being a place that historically attracts political activists. Historic Filipinotown is found on the southeast side of Echo Park and still has strong ties to its cultural Philipino origins through its architecture, shops, and restaurants. Each of these enclaves has a different personality, but they all make up the larger creative culture of Echo Park.
